I am still in good old Durbs and pretty settled down. After school I went to
Tech but hated it and decided to take
some time out [at the beach] to decide
what I planned to do. This time, I started surfing [because I was always a
body
boarder!] and kind of moved on from there. I made Natal a few times and
had a blast but decided to travel to Europe and
surf in a few International
contests. I landed up in London for a few months and packed up and came home
after looking
after two English brats! I moved into travel at Flight Centre
and then got the travel bug again and lived in Huntington
Beach in
California with one of my closest mates, Lauren. After a bit of a drama of a
trip, [September 11th etc]
I went home and got back into the wholesale side
of the travel industry.
I met Craig pretty soon after I came home
and of course fell in love with
this Cape-Tonian man who had moved up to Durban to be the new editor of
Zigzag Surfing
Magazine [Isn't that just bloody typical!] After 2 years of
seeing each other, we bought a house in Durban North [seems
like I can't get
out of the place!] I live happily in my "country" house with Craig and my
two Jack Russells, Socks
and Stokey. They are my angels! I now work from
home in our granny flat and run and part own the Durban branch of a travel
business
specialising in surfing destinations. No marriage as yet but lots
of talk of it! I also commentate at all the big surf
contests in the country
and sponsored by Roxy [which is such a bonus coz I save so much on
clothes!!]
I must
admit that I am so excited to see all the girls again and look
forward to an awesome reunion!
