After school I studied a BSc in Computer Science and Economics at University of Natal Durban. I also worked at Mustang Spur (Musgrave) as a waitress and part time doing the odd programming and IT support functions.

This put me in a great position as I had lots of experience and so my first permanent job was as a Developer / Technician at NIMAS. Within a year I was promoted to IT Manager.

After 4 years at NIMAS, the travel bug started to nibble a bit but I was offered a position at Blake and Associates which I could not refuse. Within a year I had helped create a IT company (Interactive Solutions) under the Blake umbrella which was profitable. I am the Development Executive and am responsible for all development, business and systems analysis for the Blake group and share-holders (JD Group and ABSA). I have been there for almost 4 years now and am absolutely thrilled about the opportunities it has afforded me.

On the personal side, in 2003, I married my boyfriend of 6 years. Last year we sold the flat and bought a house in Morningside. We have two dogs and a cat and at the moment that is enough for us to handle especially with our hectic lifestyles (I tend to spend a lot of time flying between Durban, Jo’burg and Cape Town) and then doing the typical braai thing on the weekend regardless of the weather.
